Avalon - Los Angeles 10/04/04- Gig Review

Just catching up after the weekend, Saturday night kicked off my new residency at Avaland in LA. I’m really happy to be playing there the club top notch and the sound system is absolutely deadly. Saturday saw me playing with Yusef from the UK and LA’s David Alvarado. Unfortunately I arrived too late to hear DA’s set but have been an admirer for years, anyone who hasn’t heard his CD compilations on guidance is missing out. Yusef was on form when I arrived, dropping block rocking house beats to an up for it crowd. I closed the event from 2 – 4 am and had an amazing time, thanks to all the top dancers that kicked it with me until the end. The highlight tune of the night had to be the new “Blades and lake” on Alternative Route called “Filth” – brilliant groove, it won’t be out for a month or two but it’s highly recommended.

I am expecting great things to come from this new residency, especially the exposure to a new crowd. Massive thanks to all at Avalon, Matthew, Dave D, Alden, Annalee, and the rest of the crew as well as everyone that came up to say hello at the end.
See you all Soon
